4 Bridges Art Festival

Tj and his girlfriend, Stephanie Stuefer are off to participate in the 4 Bridges Art Festival in Chatanooga this weekend. They were both selected from a group of entries as emerging artists, and their experience at the 4 Bridges Art Festival is all expense paid!

They have had many sleepless nights this week getting ready, and we wish them luck! Here is a tiny sampling of their amazing work:

Tj made these little heads. They fit in the palm of your hand, and hang on the wall...

...and Stephanie created these wall sconces to hold flowers. They are also palm sized, and beautiful!

2010 Artist in Residence Exhibition

here are some shots of the gallery with glimpses at each of our installations. It has been exciting to work alongside each other while the work has been made, but to also see how well it displays together.

Three down, one to go!

Things are starting to fall into place for our opening on Friday. These pictures were taken early on in the day. By nightfall, the space was truly transformed. Stay tuned for more pics! In the meantime... work, work, work, vinyl to attach, labels to make, sweeping and mopping- and most importantly, finishing up those loose ends in our studios!

In the works...

Two days down, two to go! The gallery is a blank slate awaiting the arrival of fresh art made in Gatlinburg. The show opens Friday... there is so much left to do! Stay tuned for more of our progress as we fill Arrowmont's Sandra J. Blain Gallery with woodwork, sculptural and functional ceramics and metalwork.
